Valerie Jolliffe (Chief Executive) Valerie Jolliffe co-founded Javelin in 2002 and is its Chief Executive. She spent ten years working in investment banking in the City before moving into early stage technology investing with Elderstreet and then Bamboo Investments. She currently manages the Iceni Seedcorn Fund, the Halo Business Angel EIS Fund and the London Business Angels' Roundtable EIS Fund. She is also the administrator for the Heptagon Proof of Concept Fund, which provides pre-commercial funding for projects in healthcare and life sciences for eight institutions in London. Valerie is on the advisory panel for Guy's and St Thomas' Innovation Fund For Technology Transfer (GIFFT), is a judge for the Biotech YES business plan competition,and is a trustee for the Imperial College Healthcare Charity. She is a non-executive director of a number of university spin-out companies. Valerie has a degree in engineering from Cambridge University and is a Chartered Secretary. |
